Sergio Moreno

A right-footed centre-forward standing 1.78 m tall, Sergio Moreno is CD Teruel's first line of defence and a constant nuisance for opposing centre-backs. He pins the back line, fights for every loose ball, draws fouls and wins second balls so the midfield runners can arrive, and he can also drift out to the right wing. His work off the ball is one of the team's trademarks.

Born in Pamplona, he came through the Madrid football scene —RSD Alcalá, Atlético de Madrid's academy and Rayo Vallecano, with a spell at CD Tenerife as well—. At Rayo he was converted into a centre-forward: he scored 21 goals in the División de Honor Juvenil and made his La Liga debut on 25 August 2018 at the Metropolitano against Atlético de Madrid. He later gained experience in the Segunda División with Mirandés and SD Amorebieta, and played for Valencia Mestalla, Osasuna Promesas, CD Estepona and Atlético Baleares.

He arrived at Pinilla in July 2025. In his first season he played 36 matches, with 2,643 minutes and 3 goals, and was one of the first players to renew for the 2026/27 project. He is one of the leaders of the dressing room and opened his account this season at the Ibercaja Estadio against Real Zaragoza.
